Tips to avoid rejection
- Sign in black ink on plain white paper, in normal handwriting. Signatures and declarations in capital letters are not accepted.
- Take the left thumb impression on white paper in black or blue ink, crisp and without smudges.
- The SBI declaration also includes your date of birth and a line stating the signature, photograph and thumb impression are yours. Copy the exact text shown on the form.
- Declaration wording on the form: "I, (your name), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required." Write it in English, in your own handwriting.
